Temp Hotmail guide
How does Temp Hotmail work?
Temp Hotmail gives you a real @hotmail.com address with your own tag after a plus sign, for example [email protected]. Hotmail/Outlook delivers everything sent to “name+tag” into the “name” mailbox, and Mail1s shows only the messages addressed to your exact tag.
This helps when the service you are signing up for rejects disposable email domains but still accepts Hotmail or Outlook. You never get a password and cannot access the underlying mailbox — you can only read mail sent to your tagged address, right in the browser.
The underlying mailbox is shared, so do not use Temp Hotmail for banking, wallets or important services you need to keep long term. Messages may be cleaned up under the system's retention policy.
How to use it in 3 steps
- 1Press “Random” to get a new address, or type the tag you want (4–16 letters and digits, starting with a letter).
- 2Press “Copy” and paste the full address — including the +tag part — into the site that should send you mail.
- 3Keep this page open: the inbox checks for new mail every 15 seconds, and verification codes appear in the “Latest code” tile.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I have to paste the +tag part?
The tag is what separates your mail from other people using the same underlying mailbox. Without it the message still reaches the mailbox, but it will not appear in your inbox here.
What if a website says the email address is invalid?
Some sites do not accept a plus sign in email addresses. In that case try Temp Gmail (which uses dots) or a Mail1s domain inbox instead.
Can I send email from this address?
No. Temp Hotmail is receive-only — you cannot send or reply from the underlying mailbox.
Why can't I see the email I just sent?
Only mail sent to your exact tagged address, after the moment you created it, is shown. Double-check the address you pasted, wait a few seconds and press “Refresh”.
